Do you feel as if your life is spinning out of control?
Has your self-esteem taken a hit because you struggle with anxiety, hidden anger, or unresolved grief?
Hidden anger and anxiety are like weeds; once they take hold, they are pervasive; spreading throughout the “garden” of your life. If you find yourself irritated, frustrated, or avoiding certain things in your life, you may be suffering from hidden anger or anxiety. As a result, your self-esteem may start to diminish. You may not have much confidence in who you are or your abilities. You can increase your self-esteem!
Stable Solutions, LLC offers you traditional talk therapy as well as an alternative; Equine-Assisted Therapy (EAP). If the idea of working with a horse companion during your session or walking wooded trails interests you, please contact us via email or phone: 410-409-2787 to schedule your free 15 minute phone consultation.
The counseling services provided include individual / couples and group psychotherapy for adults. Our primary area of experience is addressing issues pertaining to anger, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, grief and bereavement, and pet loss. Services are provided for adults. If you are looking for someone to do equine-assisted therapy with children or adolescents, please contact me and I will be happy to provide you with some referrals.
How Equine-assisted and Solution-focused Therapy can help you.
Equine-assisted therapy (EAP) utilizes a horse’s nonverbal communication to help clients learn about themselves through planned activities and discussion. It gives the client a “hands on” experience where they can gain greater insight into their feelings, thoughts, and behavior patterns. See an example of a session.
Solution-focused therapy shifts the focus to the present, the future, and on solutions rather than on problems and the past. Essentially, it is change talk rather than problem talk.
Some of the benefits of Equine-Assisted Therapy include the ability to discover solutions to your problems and then “try out” before applying them in your everyday life. It can also be considered Brief Therapy. Brief therapy is short-term therapy where specific issues or concerns are addressed.
